Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, has seen a tremendous growth in the education sector over the past decade. However, the present education system only produced youth with degrees who were finding it extremely difficult to find a job and unemployment was rising at a very fast rate. Hence there was a need to modify the education system so that there was more emphasis on skill development to cater to the specific demands of the corporate sector. Thus the concept of WLC College Nepal was born.

WLC College Nepal has been registered with the Department of Industries, Government of Nepal and has been approved by the Ministry of Education and Sports as an institution to promote quality professional education in the country. The college started formal Foundation Certificate Level -1 courses in Business, Advertising & Graphic Design and Media from 13 November, 2007. It is our belief that there is a lot of untapped potential in the students here and we want to make these students aware of the career possibilities they have in various fields apart from the traditional ones.

At WLC College Nepal students receive holistic education that aims for all round development of an individual so that he/she is ready to face the aggressive competition of the corporate world. The course curriculum is revamped regularly so as to suit the demands of the changing industry. Besides “Traineeship Programme” enables the students to gain abundant industry exposure.

The present generation is very ambitious and has the ingredients to be successful; however the right platform is missing. WLC College Nepal has been launched to fill that space and give students the right kind of platform and to help them nurture their dreams into reality. The education sector has undergone multiple changes in recent years and career opportunities in creative fields are abundant. We want to equip the students with the relevant training and give a direction to their vision.

WLC College Nepal is centrally located at Kamaladi, the commercial heart of the city. This makes it easy for the students to attend classes in the morning and carry on with their office work or traineeship programme in the daytime. The college is equipped with state-of –the –art computer laboratory with unlimited broadband internet facilities and a host of software required for the various modules along with scanning, printing and digitizing facilities. Modern teaching aids are used with the help of PowerPoint presentation through LCD projectors. The library is constantly upgraded with new books. While the administrative offices are located on the ground and first floors, the classrooms are located on the second floor.

WLC College has a nationwide presence in India and our students have been very well accepted by the industry. The kind of holistic education we impart has been very well appreciated in the country and that is why we were encouraged to set up a campus in Nepal. The “Traineeship Programme”, which lies at the heart of our teaching methodology, makes WLC College different and a cut above the rest while the industry specific courses that we offer keeps the student informed about the various developments taking place in the Industry.
