Programmes for Undergraduate Students - Hospitality
   

The undergraduate programmes in Hospitality aim at developing a cadre of professionals who are fully conversant with the functioning of the hotel industry and have a sound knowledge of its business and marketing principles, so that they can work effectively and innovatively in a global environment.

The courses offer students the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills to the real world of work in tune with the evolving needs of the industry. A holistic approach is adopted to ensure that students not only develop technical and business skills, but also personal and professional ability which are necessary for them to build a secure career in the Hospitality industry.

In addition to formal lectures, the programmes include interactive sessions, case studies, workshops, seminars, guest lectures, simulations and projects to impart knowledge to students.

Students learn how to analyze and evaluate hospitality industry information and draw objective conclusions to develop problem-solving skills. The courses expose students to current practices in the tourism industry and the prevalent work environment.

Students also study a range of business subjects including finance, marketing, human resource and CRM along with the specialist modules to provide a sound understanding of business principles and operation.
